TOpS members are still talking about the
memorable day on Saturday 6th February when they sang at
the Rugby International between England and Wales at the
Twickenham Rugby Stadium.
As the teams were introduced to Prince William and
Prince Harry TOpS members helped to form the red cross
on the enormous flag of St George in the middle of the
pitch. It is not many people who are allowed to walk on
the hallowed turf and TOpS members will long remember
the thrill of standing and singing " I Vow To Thee My
Country ", "Jerusalem " and the National Anthem in front
of 82.000 people. As one member said "It was the most
fantastic experience ever, never to be forgotten"
TOpS thank their sponsors the RFU for the invitation to
take part and for giving everyone who went a day they
will never forget, also thanks to the RFU for lunch,
bar and for giving us the red ponchos we had to wear,
a great memento!!.
TOpS will be returning to the Twickenham Stadium from
3rd to 6th March when they present "Smokey
Joe's Cafe" in the St Georges Suite at the home of
English rugby.
