TOpS  are  delighted  to  announce  that  the  role  of  Jesus in  GODSPELL  will  be  played  by  Paul  Lyons who last appeared with  TOpS  back  in 2002  when  he  played  the  lead  role  of  Billy  Bigelow  in  our  75th  anniversary  production  of  Carousel  at  Richmond  Theatre.
 

Paul  is  a  very  experienced  singer  and  actor,  having  graduated  from  the  Royal  Academy  of  Music  after  studying  opera  and  music  theatre. He played  the  role  of  Schlomo  in  Fame  the  Musical  at  the  Prince  of  Wales  Theatre  in  London  and  on  the  UK  tour.  He has  made  appearances  in  Evita  at  The  Manchester  Opera  House  and  a  gala  performance  of  Sweeny  Todd  at  the  Royal Festival  Hall.   Radio  performances  include  Sweet  Charity  with  Bonnie  Langford  for  BBC  Radio 2,  Disney  Time  and  Friday Night  is  Music  Night.  Paul was principal singer on two German tours of  Musical  Starlights  and  Fire of  Dance.
 

Paul  is  vastly  experienced  in  the  field  of  cabaret and  grew  up  singing  with  his  father  in  the  North West  clubs  before forming  his  own  soul  band  at  the  age  of  18. He  has enjoyed  performing  on
P & O Cruises,  including their flag ship, the Oriana, and performing  his  own  cabaret  act  on  board  on  several  occasions.
 

Paul  lives  with  Sarah  and  their  three  young  children  in  Berkshire  and  is  greatly  looking  forward  to  renewing  old friendships,  and  making  new  ones,  at  TOpS  during  the  rehearsals  for  GODSPELL.
