The members of TOpS enjoyed
a great evening at the "Guys and Dolls" After Show party
traditionally held on the first Saturday after the last
performance so that everybody....company and crew......can
attend. The crew were still at the theatre at 2am on the last
night of the show doing the Get-Out and all they wanted were
their beds when they left in the early hours!! There were no
excuses for missing the party a week later and it was a fun
evening.
Paul had organised, on the
big TV screen, a continual picture show of some of the hundreds
of pictures taken during the show by TOpS photographer Keith
Brignell and we were able to look at the pictures whilst
listening to TOpS member Matt Power and his group entertain.
After the delicious supper,
prepared by Julia, Tina and Maureen, the company had a hilarious
time as Ian announced the "Guys and Dolls Show Awards" and many
members had the dubious distinction of winning. We will keep the
winners names secret!
TOpS Chairman Tony was
celebrating a very special birthday and he had to endure a very
raucous rendering of Happy Birthday from the assembled company
which was the voice warm up for the members to take part in the
Karaoke which attracted many would be pop singers...there is not
a shortage of those at TOpS and they are never slow in coming
forward!!!
A very big "Thank You" to
everyone who arranged the evening at The Social Club in St
Edmunds Church in Whitton ....we have got to know our friends at
the Church and we are always made very welcome and enjoy our
parties there, our thanks to them all....... especially those
behind the bar serving the drinks!!!! A sincere thank you must
also go to the TOpS girls, Julia, Tina and Mo, who made all the
arrangements, did all the shopping and prepared the
food....Obviously everyone had a happy evening as no one wanted
to go home.
Below are some photo's taken
by Gill, Fiona and Louise...We will all long remember the happy
and very successful week we had in each other's company at
Richmond Theatre.
